If the remote computer is properly configured (see Getting started with Screens > Configuring ... for remote access), Screens can establish a secure connection to that computer using SSH. This connection method wraps the normal Screen Sharing/VNC connection within an encrypted SSH tunnel to prevent mischievous or malicious activity.
Screens for macOS
- Create or edit a saved screen.
- Under the Secure Connection tab, activate Enable Secure Connections.
- If Screens Connect doesn't manage this saved screen, enter the Host (local hostname, URL, or IP address), Port, Username, and Password (or select an SSH key).
Screens for iOS
- Create or edit a saved screen.
- Activate Secure Connection.
- If Screens Connect doesn't manage this saved screen, enter the Host (local hostname, URL, or IP address), Port, Username, and Password (or select an SSH key).
