If you're suddenly unable to authenticate with your Mac running macOS 14.5, please follow these steps:
- Click this link to open the Sharing settings on your Mac.
- Click the ⓘ button next to Remote Management or Screen Sharing (whichever is enabled).
- Ensure All Users is selected instead of Only these users.
- Remove any users from the list.
- Click Options… and reset both Observe and Control options.
This issue appears to have been introduced with macOS 14.5 and is resolved in the macOS 15 Sequoia beta. We anticipate a fix from Apple in macOS 14.6 later this summer.
